About Us

Boe of Propellent CreativeBoe here, founder and general manager of Propellent Creative. Thanks for stopping by.

I founded Propellent in 1999 after leaving Silicon Graphics (now SGI) where I served in webmaster, marketing specialist and copywriter roles across five years. In my 'other life,' my band Chub had successfully navigated its way into a major-label courtship in the spring of '99, so I exited the corporate world in order to dedicate my energy full time to that gelatinous affair. While the process played out, I picked up my first clients...fortuitously, the Dot Com era was peaking simultaneously, and securing lucrative gigs seemed very much like pulling trout from a sure-catch pond.

After a couple years of freelancing, I happened into a copywriting position at Digidesign as Dot Com detonated into Dot Bomb. The role handily united my passions for music and writing, and provided me with an exhilirating trial-by-fire workload and pace that rounded out my professional experience nicely.

Three-plus years later, history repeated itself somewhat. I returned to freelancing in order pursue more entertainment opportunities: My band Gooferman and various pioneering circus projects were enjoying a very favorable trajectory, and it made sense to adjust temporal priorities accordingly.

Today, the band and circus continue to flourish in a comfortable state of (largely) self-governance. In parallel, I'm able to bring my 15 years of writing, editing, marketing, technical, web and interpersonal experience -- along with dedicated, personal service and a solid, old-school work ethic -- to diverse clients large and small. And if a project extends beyond my skill set or the hours in a day, I've developed a pool of extremely savvy talent connections from which to draw that will help me bring your vision to fruition.

A moral of this story: Get in touch if you've got a project you want done right the first time.
